How do I resolve error -6421: An error occurred determining if the setup is a major upgrade?I use Installshield 2023. I had simply replaced the set of .dll's that our Installshield project is configured to read from that were more recent and that I wanted included in the install. I then clicked Build in InstallShield as I always have. No other settings or project configurations were changed.
Out of nowhere, I am encountering the error -6421: An error occurred determining if the setup [Our MSI] is a major upgrade. I first restarted the PC, and that did not fix the issue. I then deleted the whole Temp directory, and that also did not fix the issue. There is no further documentation available that I can see, so I am hoping that someone can provide a resolution or additional troubleshooting tips for this.

I tried to deactivate my InstallShield 2010 license on my old Windows 10 computer and transfer it to my new Windows 11 computer. When I tried to deactivate it on the Windows 10 computer I received error message 50040.It said to run TSconfig to fix this problem. Now I can't access the license on either computer.

InstallShield 2010 has reached EOL and there is not activation/technical support available for this product.
The InstallShield Activation Service has been discontinued, and this was announced back on February 2, 2022.
We recommend you try our latest version of InstallShield, which is version 2026 and check if it meets your requirement. You can download our trial software from below link:

Unable to hide or remove installshield logo/text from footer in suite projectI have a requirement of nested installation, and i am building a installshield suite project. i am finding a installshield text in the footer of all wizards. I want to hide that from the wizard and unable to do so. Can anyone help me on this. i tried to refer few knowledge based articles where it says for installshield suite project the footer can not be removed from wizard. But i believe we should be able to do that. Need help on this

Impact of Upgrading an Isolated InstallShield License Server from Windows Server 2022 to Windows Server 2025We are planning to perform an in-place upgrade of an isolated InstallShield License Server from Windows Server 2022 to Windows Server 2025.
Will the upgrade affect the existing activated licenses, or will license reactivation be required after the OS upgrade?
The server is deployed in an isolated network environment with no Internet connectivity.
