This article provides troubleshooting steps for resolving the “Cannot Load TAPI website” error when running the Data Platform Configuration Wizard.
- Check IIS configuration
- Open IIS Manager and confirm that the bdna-api application and its associated application pool are running.
- Remove ISAPI filter settings (if applicable)
- This issue may occur if ISAPI filter settings were not properly removed during a previous uninstall of Normalize.
- Open IIS > Select the site > Click on ISAPI Filters
- Manually remove any old Normalize-related ISAPI filter entries.
- Re-run the Data Platform installation (the installer will restore the correct ISAPI settings).
- Verify "Log on as a batch job" rights

- Go to Start > Run
secpol.msc - Navigate to: Local Policies > User Rights Assignment
- Double-click Log on as a batch job
- Ensure the service account being used is listed here
- Go to Start > Run
- Check for FIPS policy

- Open the Registry Editor and navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa\FipsAlgorithmPolicy -
Confirm that the Enabled value is set to 0x00 (FIPS disabled)
