This article explains how to request a Snow Inventory Agent installation package or download one using the available methods.
For Snow Atlas platform
If you are using the Snow Atlas platform, you can create and download agents directly using Package Builder for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Unix. Learn more: About Package Builder.
For other platforms
Choose the option that best describes your situation:
Agent already installed – access to client machine
If a Snow agent is installed and accessible:
- On a computer with the agent installed, go to:
C:\Program Files\Snow Software\Inventory\Agent - Copy the file named
snowagent.configto your desktop or another location. - Open a support case via the Support Portal.
- Upload the
snowagent.configfile using the Upload Files option. - In the case description, request a new agent and mention any configuration changes.
Example: Please generate the latest version of the Windows agent based on my previous config file. Add the endpoint http://snowserver2.acme.net:8080 in addition to the existing one.
Agent already installed – no access to client machine
If the agent is installed, and you would like an agent with a similar configuration, but you cannot easily access the client, follow this article to retrieve the configuration: Export the Snowagent configuration.
No agent installed on this site
If this is a first-time request (you do not have any agent installed) or you need an agent for a different customer or site:
- Download and complete the agent request form for your operating system, attached to this article.
- Open a support case.
- Select the appropriate Snow Inventory Agent in the Application field.
- Upload the completed form using the Upload Files option.
A support representative will contact you to confirm details and provide a download link.
