To request Microsoft Subscriptions to be added to the Global Database, please create a request through the Create Recognition Request (DIS) form on the Support Portal.
There are three main requirements that Data Intelligence Service (DIS) need to process a case.
1) Product Name
This displays the name of the product that subscription should cover. This is what naming standard we use to name the License Plan / Subscription.
For example:
The Product Name helps us identify that this License Plan belongs to Microsoft Office 365 Business.
2) String ID
This is the String ID that is reported to the global database when detected. We use this ID to map to a License Plan, named in Step 1.
For example:
3) Documentation / Product page
As there are many different websites that state outdated information as to what String ID's should be named, or what License Plan refers to a specific String ID, it is difficult for us to determine exactly which String ID is correct. Therefore, documentation / Product pages that state this information is the fastest way for us to determine this information.
For example:
This documentation gives us all the information we need to build a subscription plan. The Product Name, String ID are all provided.
These are the only 3 mandatory requirements we need.
A) More information:
If you wish for the ticket to be processed as fast as possible, it will also help to provide some additional information. This extra information could include which Service Plans are included in the String ID. It may also help to provide the GUID so we can verify the correct Product Name and String ID if possible.
Why we ask for this information, is that Product Names seem to change regularly. We also see in many cases, that the Product Name, does not reflect the String ID accurately.
For example, String ID "STANDARDPACK", does not reflect on the String ID alone that this is the License Plan for Office 365 Enterprise E1, which is why the documentation of where the information can be found, helps a lot.
