After upgrading Snow Inventory Server to version 25.1, the service may appear as running but fails to process inventory data. This occurs when local storage becomes unreadable and prevents normal system operation.
- Type or copy the following path into File Explorer:
C:\ProgramData\SnowSoftware\Inventory\Server\localstorage
NOTE: C:\ProgramData is a hidden folder.
- Locate the database file and rename it by adding the
.oldextension.
- Restart the Snow Inventory Server service.
The file will be recreated, allowing the Snow Inventory Server service to start successfully and resume processing snowpack files without issues.
