Environment variable behavior
Elastic Beanstalk environment variables are part of the Beanstalk application settings. They are not tied to the infrastructure that Elastigroup manages. When you add or update variables:
-
The changes apply on the Beanstalk side
-
Instances that Elastigroup launches automatically use the updated variables
-
No infrastructure changes occur, so no maintenance mode is required
Where to add variables
You can add or edit environment variables in the Elastic Beanstalk console. To learn more about these settings, see the Amazon documentation.
