Computer and device quarantine settings in Snow Management and Configuration Center (SMACC) control when records are quarantined and what actions occur at the end of the quarantine period. Computers and devices have separate configuration options that define how each is managed.
In SMACC, go to Configuration > Basic Settings.
Computers and mobile devices
QUARANTINE_ACTIVEenables quarantine management for computers and mobile devices.QUARANTINE_DAYSsets the number of days since the last inventory scan before a record enters quarantine.QUARANTINE_DELETEsets how many days a record remains in quarantine before the configured action. This period starts on the quarantine date.QUARANTINE_DELETE_ACTIONselects what happens after the quarantine period: Delete, Set to Inactive, or Archive.QUARANTINE_DELETE_ACTIVEenables the configured action after quarantine.
Devices
DEVICE_QUARANTINE_ACTIVEenables quarantine management for devices.DEVICE_QUARANTINE_DAYSsets the number of days since a device was last used before it enters quarantine.DEVICE_QUARANTINE_DELETEsets how many days a device remains in quarantine before deletion.DEVICE_QUARANTINE_DELETE_ACTIVEenables automatic deletion after the quarantine period. Devices do not have an option to be set to inactive after quarantine.
IMPORTANT: For computers and mobile devices, a quarantine rule in Snow License Manager takes precedence over overlapping SMACC settings. The Disable automatic quarantine management setting on an individual record also overrides automatic quarantine management.
