Question
- In Snow Management and Configuration Center (SMACC) some of the application in the database is grey, what does that mean?
- What does (reg) and (exe) mean?
Environment
- Snow Management and Configuration Center (SMACC)
Resolution
- If an application in the database is grey it means that the application is hidden. With hidden means that the application will not be visible in Snow License Manager (SLM).
- The Data Intelligence Service-team (DIS) hides applications when for example an application not yet should be visible in SLM. The DIS-team also hides
registry collectors and executable collectors. - An application that is marked with (reg) is showing that this application is a registry collector and therefore only picks up registry values.
- An application that is marked with (exe) is showing that this application is an executable collector and therefore only picks up executable.
- These two different collectors are used in groups and bundles that are in need of two values to be able to give the right recognition.
- The registry collectors and the executable collectors are marked as hidden and therefore grey in the database.
