FlexNet Publisher Documentation Now Available in HTML Format in the Product and License Center

The FlexNet Publisher documentation is now available in HTML format in the Product and License Center (PLC).

    What’s changed

Previously, FlexNet Publisher documentation was available only as a PDF document library, with all content combined into a single portfolio PDF.

Now, the documentation is also provided in an HTML-based format, delivering a more modern and streamlined experience.

    This HTML format offers:

    • Improved navigation across topics
    • Enhanced searchability
    • A more accessible, web-based documentation experience

Documentation now organized by licensing model

As part of this update, the HTML documentation has been separated into two distinct sets:

    • License File–Based Licensing
    • Trusted Storage–Based Licensing

Each set contains the documentation specific to its licensing model, making it easier to:

    • Focus on relevant content
    • Avoid cross-model confusion
    • Navigate more efficiently

    PDF still available

The PDF document library remains available in the Product and License Center. The content has not changed—only the format and organization have been enhanced.

    How to access

    To download the documentation:

    1. Log in to the Revenera Community
    2. Go to Resources > Downloads and open the Product and License Center.
    3. Select FlexNet Licensing > FlexNet Publisher.

  6. [Blog] Piracy-Response Features in FlexNet Publisher 11.19.9

FlexNet Publisher (FNP) 11.19.9 introduces new capabilities to help high-value software vendors combat piracy and deliberate overuse while protecting revenue and brand value.

    Why It Matters

On-premise deployments remain exposed to risks such as cloning, tampering, and intentional overuse. To address these challenges, vendors need a layered defense strategy that combines robust licensing controls with compliance intelligence for faster detection and recovery. FlexNet Publisher plays a critical role as the licensing layer, providing early-stage signals to flag potential piracy attempts.

    What’s Was Added in 11.19.9

Starting with this release, FlexNet Publisher includes:

    • Piracy Notification Framework – Real-time alerts for piracy or attack detection
    • Composite HostID – Secure machine fingerprinting to prevent cloning and spoofing
    • Server Line Enforcement – Granular license server controls across physical, virtual, and container environments

Future roadmap includes clone suspect detection, tamper protection, and seamless integration with Revenera Compliance Intelligence (RCI).

    How It Works

The enhanced vendor daemon signals piracy events to:

    • Licensed applications for adaptive behavior
    • RCI or back-office systems for case-building
    • Vendor-defined callbacks for immediate controls
    • Server logs for audits

All designed for adoption-friendly integration with minimal client changes.

    Availability

FlexNet Publisher 11.19.9 is available for download. Roadmap enhancements will continue through June 2026.
