When the InstallShield IDE or Command Line Build crashes you may be presented with a Stack Trace and/or exception. At the same time a dump file is expected to be created and exist in the System directory where InstallShield is installed.Further investigation of the dump file along with the circumstances involved may be requested by the Support Group at Flexera to help understand why InstallShield crashed. If requested please send across the dump file for review. The dump file can be found here:
<InstallShield Installation Directory>\InstallShield\<Version>\System Or - when using a 64-bit client C:\Program Files (x86)\InstallShield\2015\System
The name of the dump file uses the letters "iside", an underscore then four random numbers. The extension is ".dmp". For example, it looks like: iside_1234.dmp
