This article contains information about how to install the FlexNet Inventory Agent on devices running Windows operating systems without the "Application usage agent" feature.

Manual installation

In the install wizard, select the option to perform a custom setup and deselect the feature on the Custom Setup page of the install wizard:

Automated Installation

If the agent is installed by running the setup.exe file, edit the setup.ini file file using a text editor and append the following value to the CmdLine parameter in the [Startup] section:

REMOVE=aua

If the agent is installed by running msiexec.exe directory, include a similar command line option. For example:

msiexec.exe /i "FlexNet Inventory Agent.msi" /qb- REMOVE=aua
