Creation of projects with a duplicate project name

Summary

This article documents the behavior observed in bug SCA-5335 which corrected an issue where projects could be created with a duplicate project name

Symptoms

I am able to generate a project with the existing project name. This should not be possible and should be checked prior to creation of a new project

Resolution

This issue was confirmed as a bug by our Engineering team and was corrected under reference SCA-5335. Our Engineers have confirmed that a resolution for this issue was added to FlexNet Code Insight 6.12.1. When creation of a project with a duplicate name via the UI or REST endpoint is attempted and error stating "Project Copy is in Progress with the same Project name : " will now be displayed.
