Symptoms

When license file for FlexNet Manager Platform/Suite is imported, customer will see the following error and import fails.

Cause

The use of a MD5 hash in the product is blocked by the OS as it is not compliance with FIPS.

Check if FIPS Cryptography is enabled via the Registry. If running Windows Server 2008 navigate to HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa\FIPSAlgorithmPolicy\Enabled
if the registry value =1, FIPS is enabled.

Workaround

Please disable FIPS on the machine where FlexNet Manger Platform / FlexNet Manager Suite works.
