We have now defined custom attributes at the Entitlement Line Item level for use in the Entitlement email template.
1. Confirm Attribute Support
- Customer attributes are supported only at the Entitlement Line Item level.
- Customer attributes are not supported at the Product level.
2. Define Custom Attributes
- Ensure the required custom attributes are defined at the Entitlement Line Item level. (For example:
CustomerStuff,LI_attr1).
3. Update the Entitlement Email Template
- Use the available Entitlement Line Item merge tags in the email template.
- Place the merge tags inside the EntitlementLineItem FOR‑EACH block.
4. Sample Template Content
Use the sample below to test the configuration:
Here's your order. [[EntitlementID]] [[FOR-EACH TAG="EntitlementLineItem"]] [[ActivationID]] [[ENT_LINE_CA CODE="CustomerStuff"]] [[ENT_LINE_CA CODE="LI_attr1"]] [[END FOR-EACH]]
5. Test the Template
Generate a sample entitlement email to verify that the custom attributes are populated correctly.
Customers can successfully include and display Entitlement Line Item–level custom attributes in Entitlement email templates using the supported merge tags, enabling accurate and dynamic population of entitlement‑specific details.
