Method 1: Using Web UI and Browser Developer Tools

Step 1: Access Code Insight Web UI

1. Log in to the Code Insight web interface.
2. Navigate to Projects → Select Project → Reports Tab

Step 2: Choose the Report

1. Under the Reports section, select the report you want to generate (such as SBOM Report - SPDX).
2. Click Generate Selected Report or open the report options dialog.

Step 3: Open Browser Developer Tools

1. Press F12 or right-click and select Inspect.
2. Go to the Network tab in Developer Tools.
3. Ensure XHR/Fetch requests are visible.

Step 4: Fill Report Options

1. In the report options dialog, set the required values (such as Include Child Projects, Include File Details).
2. Click Generate Report.
   
   

Step 5: Capture the Payload

1. Switch back to the Network tab.
2. Look for requests related to reports (such as report?dc=...).
3. Select the request and open the Payload section.

Step 6: Identify Parameters

1. Under Form Data, note all options listed below otherProjectId. The following is an example from a screenshot:
   
   

Step 7: Draft JSON Payload

Use the captured parameters to create a JSON structure for plugin configuration:

Method 2: Using the Database

If you have database access, you can retrieve the parameters without generating the report:

1. Navigate to the PAS_PROJECT_REPORTS table.
2. Look for the REPORT_CRITERIA_ column for the report in question.
3. This column contains the JSON criteria used for report generation, which includes all the parameter names and values.
