Official release of FlexNet Inventory Agent 26.3.0

We are pleased to announce the release of the FlexNet Inventory Agent 26.3.0.

This release includes:

• Improved software discovery for security-hardened Kubernetes containers
• Fix for Unix software process cache handling of .war and .ear files
• Bundled software version updated

Customer Impact:

• Previously, software discovery in Kubernetes environments was limited when encountering security-hardened, minimal, or ephemeral container designs such as read-only filesystems or scratch-based images. Now, the Flexera Kubernetes Inventory Agent (KRM) provides comprehensive visibility into containerized software regardless of the container image type, including support for init and read-only containers. This enhancement provides improved risk governance and more accurate license management for modern Kubernetes deployment scenarios.
• Previously, the inventory agent's handling of Java process extensions on Unix systems did not correctly account for .war and .ear files, potentially leading to duplicate entries. This release resolves this issue.
• The OpenSSL, Expat and Go third party libraries bundled with the agent have been updated in this release to address security vulnerabilities.
