Snow License Manager Microsoft Windows Licensing: An example of how to read processor and core information

When assigning the datacenter licenses how should we read the given processor and core information? 

In the screenshot example shown below, does each processor have 16 cores or is it a total of 16 cores?  Is the requirement for 16 or 32 licenses?

The example shows the total number of cores on the server are 16, i.e., 8 per processor.

In the shown example of Windows Server Datacenter license we need to assign 16 core licenses.
